Typically right for:
If you are moving out of a one bed and you own a sofa, a bed, a wardrobe and boxes, this is usually enough with room to walk in.
Typically right for:
This is our most common domestic size. If you are between houses with a whole family’s worth of belongings, start here.
Typically right for:
Most of our business customers end up here, because the cost per square foot is the lowest of the three and you can get a van alongside it. Drive-up access and 24 hour entry make it workable as a genuine operating space rather than just a store.
Three things push people up a size more often than they expect.
Awkward shapes. Sofas, mattresses, bikes and garden equipment do not stack. A flat full of boxes fits into far less space than a flat full of furniture.
Access. If you need to get to things regularly, leave a walkway. That costs you roughly a fifth of the floor space, so factor it in.
How long you are storing. For a few weeks, pack tight. For a year, you want air around things and a bit of order.
If you are genuinely between two sizes and you need regular access, go up. If it is short term and going in solid, go down. Either way, we can move you between containers if you get it wrong, so it is not a decision you are stuck with.
