• Store mattresses on their side rather than flat, if possible, supported so they do not bow
• Use proper cardboard boxes or plastic storage boxes for fragile items, not bin bags, which tear and give no protection
• Label everything clearly, especially for boxes near the front of the container for items you will need regularly
